In a unexpected partnership that breaks traditional predictions, the game developer has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Disclosed

According to the official statement, "A strange encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where rumors of banned ceremonies and monstrous changes reverberate through the shadows." The narrative presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine group.

The questline centers on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Metamorphoses

The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a striking scene showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Extra Content

Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an special katana alongside multiple objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

• Mikasa costume for Naoe

Newest Free Story Addition

This release also introduces the game's newest free story episode, titled "A Puzzlement." Faithful to its name, "A Puzzlement" also includes a fresh environmental puzzle that may eventually explain some unresolved questions from the main storyline.

The series earlier included a 2020 crossover story connecting Assassin's Creed: Valhalla with Makoto Yukimura's Vinland Saga.
